TRAX 2009
Mix Ken Block with 16,000 people for a full-on Sunday session at TRAX. Was it good? Damn straight!
TRAX is always one of the most anticipated shows in the calendar, and for 2009 the hype had been building steadily before the big day. And what a day it turned out to be! The atmosphere was buzzing and it went down as one of the best shows in history. From the acres of great club cars to the top-quality drifting, non-stop track action and the addition of Ken Block, TRAX saw the 2009 season out with a bang.
The huge trade area was packed with the leading names in performance tuning, with Rude Racing offering up to 50% off special deals and Team Dynamics, KW Automotive, Yokohama and TAROX all having a major presence.
Japanese Auto Extravanganza
With several members already attending this event in years gone by, it seemed silly not to introduce the club. With a stand and campsite great laughs were had over this weekend gathering.
Even being entered into the football and tug of war competitions SD had its reputation to hold. With a bit of a failure had in the tug of war :-) the lads and lasses put their heart into their ball skills and then the lads played football! The team managed a heroic effort of 2nd out of 25 teams.
Robbed at the final post they will be back next year to claim their title! Watch for details :-)
Pimpinit Heaven Charity Show
Arranged by one of our sister clubs this local event was in aid of the STARS APPEAL Salisbury.
Arround £600 was raised for this great cause.
Street Dreamz displayed on a small stand alond with hundreds of others clubs from a range of local clubs. With a few activities thrown in the mix and trade displays with discounted goods, a great day was had by all.
Next year hopes to be bigger and better. So look for the details we will need all the help we will get!
